Aashiyan B &B, a homestay facility, is a small beautiful paradise with the ideal blend of modern day comforts and the traditional simple Indian homestay experience, located in Shivalik, New Delhi.

This was a great start to our 3 week tour of India. Kiran and her two staff make you feel like family. The room was spacious with air con and we didn’t even have to lock the door so safe was the place. The food was excellent and the butter roti the best we tasted all trip. Kiran is a wonderful host who puts you at your ease and can recommend places to visit and eat within the area. While the chaos of Delhi is going on just outside this tranquil little retreat is ideal at the end of a busy day. For first timers to India like us it was a fantastic start to our adventure. Many thanks Kiran and the boys for your hospitality and friendship.

Stayed at the Aashiyan B&B again – was there for 3 nights. The location is fantastic – extremely convenient with restaurants, shopping, places to see and local transport (metro station is 5-10 mins ride). The rooms are very spacious, immaculately clean with the littlest things required for a comfortable stay though through and made available. The hosts are the icing…

We stayed just two nights at the Aashiyan Home Stay. Mr Singh was a very gentle and kind man and could not have been more accommodating. It is off the main road so was quiet from the beeping horns but backed onto a beautiful park so was full of bird song. The room was a good size with a comfortable bed and the bathroom was also a good size with a huge shower. Just remember to turn the water heater on 10-20 minutes before you need to shower.
We ate there the first night and the food was delicious and in great quantity! The next night, we followed Mr Singh’s advise and went to eat the Punjabi Grill, Select Citywalk and he ordered us a taxi to take us there and we bartered for a took-took to take us home. He was very helpful in explaining how much the taxi and took-took should cost us so we weren’t charged tourist rates.
Breakfast was lovely, cereal, toast, fruit, juice – as much as we could eat! Mr Singh didn’t seem to mind that we needed to leave at 5 am to catch our train from Delhi to Agra and was up bright and early to ensure we had enough to eat before we left.
I wish we could have stayed longer and if we go back to Delhi we will definitely book in here again.

We would highly recommend staying here. Kiran was welcoming and very helpful, recommending visits, organising taxis when required. We were made to feel like part of the family. The home cooked food was amazing. During a brief break in our stay Kiran made enquiries about something we had mentioned and had the answer for us upon our return. Overall a much nicer experience than a hotel stay. We definitely recommend this home stay to others… Thank you Kiran for helping make our holiday in India truly fantastic. We will hopefully see you again soon.

It is such a joy to be arriving at Aashiyan! The smiles of welcome, the lush green of Kiran’s entrance garden, the palm trees, and the beautiful, lovingly designed family home, immediately one feels entirely relaxed and at home on arrival.

The truly Indian hospitality offered by Kiran and her husband Jp, and the wonderfully kind and helpful staff, create an unforgettable homestay experience. The hosts speak excellent English. Everything one can wish for in a Bed and Breakfast accommodation is provided at international first-class standard and with a warm personal touch, so relaxation is complete and one can recharge batteries in complete comfort, for adventures in the city or onward travel.

There is absolutely no traffic noise, which is a marvellous plus in Delhi, and the home looks out over a very nice park with easy access. The food is simply superb, offering a wonderful experience of North Indian home-cooking.

Aashiyan is in an excellent location in South Delhi, with landmarks, tourist attractions, museums, shopping, and both Indian and Western-style restaurants at quite short distance in this megacity. My favourite experience was a visit at the Gurudwara Bangla Sahib!

So absolutely top marks and a big thank you to the Singh family!
Room Tip: All are excellent.

A very warm welcome awaits you at Aashiyan from Kiran, her husband JP and staff. The location of the B and B is in a leafy suburb of Delhi, ideally placed to see the sights. Bedrooms are spacious, comfortably furnished with a good sized bathroom and shower. You will have a wonderful night’s sleep on the soft, cosy bed linen and king size mattress. The breakfasts and very reasonably priced evening meals were delicious-a great introduction to real Northern Indian cookery. Kiran provides that warm, friendly personal touch lacking in large hotels. I can’t recommend Aashiyan highly enough.
